Delivering the Proud to be Portuguese Message in Bonfim

July 20, 2026

Today I’m on the streets of Bonfim, Porto - delivering the PTBP postcards. Asking individuals their views on what being PTBP means to them - if anything. I’m expecting surprises and remain open to whatever comes my way. I’m being helped today by Emmy - a student of culture and a linguist and from a Portuguese family, who has lived cross culturally and like many young people offer a global perspective in this shift of ages. I’ll be glad of her insights as two intergenerational qualitative researchers hit the streets, to sample what views and ideas are on offer!

Here is our first video interview with Piedro at my local kombucha bar, on the subject of community, connection and co-creation. I love his freshness and openness and joyous fizz.
