Rose of the Winds - Setting the heart compass to true north.

June 9, 2026

I’ve made my intentions clear to God creator. Under the new moon, I cast out to the stars the desires of my heart. What I deeply yearn for. What my soul is seeking to express. I went to the monastery at Armenteira and prayed, as the liturgy was sung and the body of Christ offered in communion.

The symbol of the rose is ancient. She sits at the feet of Mother Mary. She represents the labyrinth of the heart. Our compass to guide us home. The sailors knew this, and thus rose of the winds is woven into linguistic metaphor.

You see, in times of trouble as the waves grow high in the tempest, and our little boat rocks, we need that inner compass of bone marrow faith, to ensure we arrive safely at our true north destination. We came from dust. We return to dust, but not before we accomplish our in service mission on Earth.

Prepare for the swell dear friends, and like Noah, regard not the ridicule of others as you get your Ark ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Pack some wisdom in a water proof box, and a sip of cognac to haste the courage. Be your own best captain - and bless your unique rose of the winds.
