CAMARAO - A union point for reclaiming chivalry
June 17, 2026
The more I delve into history, and how the divine masculine showed up for the divine feminine and vice versa, I’m getting into some gnarly topics and interesting archetypes. I’ve studied the stories of how land was united through marriage to make kingdoms more powerful. The women involved, such as Philippa of Lancaster and Eleanor of Aquitaine to name just two, were no whimpering wrecks. They were strong queens to their kings. In the weave of those times is the code of chivalry, where the Lady was supported by her knights. This all sounds fanciful in the modern age of equality and feminism, but I’m wondering if it’s not time to have at least a little sparkle of that now.

Most recently I visited a unique experience restaurant by the sea near Ancora. It was a beautiful location, more poignant because of the time it took to find it, and the frustrations and navigational challenges, when you have a strong divine masculine in a car with a strong divine feminine. My DM wanted to share something very treasured with me, and my practical problem solving, and naff ineptitude, meant that I missed the simple chivalry in this experience he was offering me.
I fell into quiet over the lunch, since knew I was missing a beat. How did I recover the beat other than by apologies? In the silence, I reflected on reading signs in relationships. Noticing the small details of how the DM and DF operating systems are different, and how we harmonise them.
In my professional life as well as my personal experience, the way we as DF show up for the DM needs some honing. Or rather shaping differently. Finding the right language together. Developing skills to deal with the uncomfortable topics we need to address. This is the work. This is our work together. The quest, as well as the question of the how.
’ve worked with the Haynes manual for men’s health and found it the kind of book that men can get their heads around. Since we know that the male and female brains are made differently. Rightly so. Nature always has two complimentary elements to make the whole. The yin with the yang. I’m thinking that we need a Haynes manual for the evolved edition of the DF and DM. I’m seriously thinking to write it! I kid you not.

If I was a Queen of old, I would send my messenger with a sealed parchment to deliver a note of apology to my King. I would not waste words, but would draw as many symbols as I felt he could interpret, and reiterate that the meal at CAMARAO - with the sea and the mountains playing a melodious symphony in the background, and the wine chosen with precision, were more precious than he may ever know. But an experience that I would remember long into the years. A moment in time. I have a sea shell to keep as proof, that chivalry is still alive and kicking.
